It’s time for my February favourite finds! It’s been a big month for me at work with lots of long hours so I haven’t been doing much exploring. I have, however, still spent plenty of time in the kitchen! I’d love to hear about your February favourite finds as well!
Le Creuset Dish
I talked about the fancy new Le Creuset dish I was lucky enough to be sent from Everten in this recipe post but it deserves another mention! I’ve been cooking in it constantly since I got it – soups, frittatas, curries, you name it! It’s so nice to cook in, easy to clean and I can store my leftovers in it. I’m looking forward to using it for years to come!
Ulu Hye Nut Mylk
I had seen this nut mylk paste online a lot lately and decided it was time to try it out for myself. This one jar can be used to make 10 litres of mylk, which is pretty amazing! Not only does it cut down on waste, but it’s pretty good value as well. Plus, it’s preservative free, made in Australia and you can add it straight into your blender with water to make smoothies. I went with the unsweetened version and it’s been fantastic. I recommend you give it a try!
Eco Friendly Dish Cloths
So I know dish cloths are not exactly the most exciting of purchases, but stick with me! I’m trying to move towards a paperless kitchen (more on that in coming weeks!) and these are a great step towards that. They are made out of organic cotton which means they will biodegrade at the end of their life. They are absorbent but also have little loops that make them suitable for scrubbing so they are great for both doing dishes and wiping down benches. Not exciting, but super useful!
Stainless Steel Straw
I have a glass straw that I use constantly, but I decided to get myself a stainless steel one as well so I have choices. Plus, this one is rose gold so it’s super pretty! I particularly love that it has a rounded top so it’s nicer to drink out of, and it’s a scratch-proof stainless steel as well. This one is 9mm diameter which means I can drink even my thickest smoothies through it! If you haven’t already got yourself a reusable straw I definitely recommend this one!
