The February GoodnessMe Box was curated Lorna Jane Clarkson and was themed all about love and it’s safe to say I, well, loved it! Another box of predominantly edible goodies, but with an excellent skincare item as well. Let’s see what was inside!
Dried Goji Berries
I love the tart flavour of goji berries, so these didn’t last long in my house! I planned on using them for some baking but in the end mixed them with some nuts for some healthy work snacks. Delicious, healthy and very welcome!
Higher Living: Cocoa & Chilli Teabags
These tea bags are an interesting flavour. They’re more of a chilli and licorice tea, with the cocoa flavour coming through a little more subtly. It’s not quite strong enough to taste like a chilli-hot chocolate, but the flavour is definitely there. I quite liked them, but they are not necessarily a tea I would reach for super regularly. I did enjoy trying something very different though!
The Beauty Chef: Glow Inner Beauty Powder
This product is packed with both pre and probiotics and is designed to improve gut and skin health. It’s always hard to tell how well it will work for a little sample, but at the very least I like the flavour! I also like that it’s made here in Australia, is packed with organic ingredients and is completely vegan friendly. It’s hard to find products that support collagen production that don’t use animal products. I’m going to keep an eye out for more of this range to try out.
Pic’s Peanut Butter
There’s something about Kiwi peanut butter’s that really makes them stand out in my book, and Pic’s is no exception. I’d almost finished the jar of Fix & Fogg I brought back from my last trip back over the ditch (I was born in Wellington so a local purchase seemed appropriate!) so I was very happy to see this in the February GoodnessMe Box! Now to decide whether to put it in baked goods or just eat it from the jar! It will probably be a combination of both!
Bounce Foods: Beetroot Cashew Plant Protein
This snack sized beetroot treat was a delicious delight. It was the perfect size for a quick snack, full of instantly recognisable ingredients and so tasty. I loved that the beetroot flavour was a nice change up from the common protein ball combos as well. I liked this so much I have picked up a few of the other flavours to try as well and they’ve all been winners so far!
Knowrish Well: Gypsy Rose Super Latte
In one of the earlier GoodnessMe Boxes I got to try the blue dream version of this product, so I was keen to try this one as well. I loved the gorgeous pink colour, not to mention the beetroot, strawberry, cinnamony flavour. I used part of the sachet to make a latte, and the rest went into a gorgeously pink breakfast smoothie. Delish!
Rosehip Plus: Roll On Rosehip Oil
I love face oils (the Go-To one is my current well, go to!) and rosehip oil was definitely my introduction into the world of face oils. I’m super excited by this roll-on version because I’ve got some travel coming up this year and it will be perfect for that. Mess-free but still super hydrating – count me in!
BKST Wholefoods: Cacao Peanut Butter Protein Bar
I really enjoyed the dark chocolate bar I’d tried from BKST previously, so I was keen to try this cacao peanut butter bar! It was slightly sweet, nutty and delicious and also at least vaguely good for me! An excellent protein filled snack option. I’d love to try the raspberry chia version too!
Happy Way: Protein Travel Pack
Last but not least is this vegan vanilla protein. I put protein powder in my smoothies most mornings and I’ve been really enjoying this one. The texture is great, the flavour is delicious without being overpowering and this pack is an excellent size for me to give it a really good try out. I’m definitely keen to keep using this brand, and I’ll be checking out their other flavours as well!
