To draw 2015 to a close I thought I would share my top 10 posts of 2015 with you all, as voted by you (through your page views!). I’ve split it into two separate lists, the top 5 recipes and top 5 eco living & lifestyle posts. Unsurprisingly most of these were posted early in the year but it’s always so interesting to see what ends up on the list! Apparently I should do more baking (my waistline may disagree!).
Let’s start with the food shall we! In descending order…
5. Watermelon Pineapple Icy Poles
I could do with another batch of these in the freezer right about now I think! Refreshing, delicious and easy to whip up – no wonder these were popular!
4. Banana Passionfruit Muffins
It’s hard to beat a fruity muffin and these ones are a sure-fire winner, and an excellent way to use up overripe muffins (with a tropical twist!).
3. Matcha Macadamia Bliss Balls
The only healthy item to make the list are these bliss balls using the wonderful Matcha Maiden powder I bought. I think a batch of these will be needed when I return to work!
2. Apple Strawberry Crumble Cake
This cake is one of my favourites for when I need to whip something up in a hurry that still looks pretty impressive, and clearly you guys agree!
1. Passionfruit Cheesecake Slice
I only shared this recipe in November but it went a little nuts on facebook and as a result blasted its way to the top of the list! I’ve had so many requests to bring it to parties and morning teas, so it’s definitely earned its place!
And now to the top 5 eco living & lifestyle posts!
5. Meal Planning 101: How to Meal Plan
The second post in my meal planning series was clearly the most popular! If you missed the series I turned the whole lot into an e-book complete with 2 types of meal planners and a shopping list which is free to anyone on my email list, and you can find that right here!
4. Why I Don’t Use Pod Coffee
As a Melbourne girl my love of coffee is strong but I’m rather particular about one type of coffee making mechanism – pod coffee. This post covered all the reasons why I choose to avoid it, and some of the options out there if you do have a pod machine at home to help make it a more sustainable option.
3. 5 Simple Ways to Brighten Your Week
This was my first post of this style and it clearly hit a cord with you lovely folk! I guess I might need to do some more of these style posts in 2016, so let me know if there’s anything in particular you’d like me to explore!
2. 6 Simple Ways to Improve Your Morning
I’m a morning person but it did take some practice to really make my mornings work for me, so in this post I shared some of my go-to changes and it looks like it was helpful to lots of you too!
1. How to Dispose of Household Items
This post is so timely at this time of year when many of us make use of our holidays to clear out our cupboards, garages and under the bed. There are lots of items that can’t be recycled in your standard bin but can be reused in other ways, so make sure to check back in with this post before you throw things away!
