Last month I treated myself to the August Change Box, so I thought I would share with you all what was inside! I’ve talked about the Change Box once before – it’s a subscription box service focused on supporting local, ethical beauty, food and lifestyle brands. Lots of the companies they include are also social enterprises, and 10% of the profits of the Change Box are also donated. So it’s an excellent way to do some good while getting some goodies!
So, what was in the August box?
Alyssum Alchemy Clarity Remedy Oil
This Australian made oil is a blend of rosemary, lemon, peppermint, lemon myrtle, sandalwood and lavender. It is designed to aid with concentration and bring calm, and has a neat little roller ball so you can apply it to your pressure points. It smells absolutely delightful and I’m willing to try anything that helps bring both focus and calm to my life, so I’ll be testing it’s abilities!
Seed Skincare Tangerine Lip Balm
The Seed Skincare lip balm is vegan, handmade and free from preservatives and additives, so it’s obviously right up my alley. I love the tangerine scent and I’ve been slathering it on before bed each night to deal with the dry lips I get in winter. I’m very happy with this addition to the Change Box!
Jazminbell Eye Pillow
This eye pillow is able to be used hot or cold, and it’s filled with Australian rice rather than wheat. It’s also free from fragrances which is excellent – they normally make me sneeze! It’s made in Canberra and the perfect size for relaxation and headaches. I have a feeling it will be handy cold over the summer as well!
Butt Naked Coffee & Vanilla Body Scrub
I normally make my own body scrubs using leftover coffee ground, so whilst i probably didn’t need to receive a new one I’ll definitely be using it! It’s a handy size to take with me when I go travelling, and the company donates 5% of their profits to a Melbourne animal shelter, so you can’t complain about that!
Decadent Handmade Chocolate Frogs
These oh-so-cute chocolate frogs are vegan friendly, Australian made, and most importantly delicious! They’re made out of organic ingredients and it’s hard to beat a mini chocolate frog as a treat!
Karma Collective Mini Candle
I don’t have a shortage of candles in my house, but I love them so a new one is never a bad thing! Karma Collective candles are hand poured in Melbourne and a portion of their profits go to charities as well. I got the Watermelon & Lemonade scent in my Change Box, and whilst fruity scents aren’t normally my favourite this one isn’t too overly sweet so I’m loving it!
