It’s October GoodnessMe Box time! This month’s box was curated by Lorna Jane and it was another winner. Not only was it packed with goodies, but there were lots of brands I hadn’t tried before which is always a bonus. As always I got the vegan version, so let’s see what was inside the October GoodnessMe Box shall we!
MooGoo Milk Wash
I have used a few MooGoo products in the past and always really liked them, so I’m not really sure why I stopped! Needless to say I was very happy to find this in my Box this month! I haven’t actually used this product yet as it’s the perfect size for a few days away, so I’m saving it for that very purpose. On past history I’m pretty sure I’m going to enjoy it though!
Saint Hemp
I have tried a few different brands of hemp seeds since they became legal, and I definitely love having them in my pantry. This was the first time I had come across this brand and whilst I can’t really tell the difference between the brands I have tried, I do love that these are Australian grown. I have been adding them to smoothies and salads and really enjoying them, so I’m calling that a win.
Raw C Tropical Coconut Water
I’m not usually the biggest fan of coconut water so I wasn’t sure how this one was going to go for me. Fear not, it was delicious! The tropical flavour wasn’t too sweet, and balanced out the coconut flavour really well. I cracked it open on a warm day after a trip to the gym and it was refreshing and hydrating – just what I needed. I was pleasantly surprised, that’s for sure.
Nomu Noms Coated Macadamias
I was pretty excited to give this product a try when I spotted it in the October GoodnessMe Box. What’s not to love about vegan chocolate coated macadamias! Unfortunately given it was a sample packet there was actually only one macadamia inside which was disappointing, particularly given it was really tasty! I would definitely have enjoyed more of these, so I guess I’ll have to keep an eye out for them.
Madame Flavour Teas
I have received a few Madame Flavour teas in GoodnessMe Boxes, but given they are excellent teas I’m never too sad to see them in there. In particular when they happen to be my favourite flavours! There’s not a whole lot to say about tea bags, other that they never stick around for long which I think is a good sign.
Macro Mike Protein Bars
Whilst I try not to snack too often, sometimes there’s just no choice so having bars like these in my work drawer is a savour. I really enjoyed this Macro Mike one, it’s not too sweet and is packed with ingredients I recognise the name of. It’s a good size to keep me going without being too heavy, and is packed with protein as well. Basically it’s just an excellent snack!
Health Lab Protein Ball
Apparently the October GoodnessMe Box was all about delicious protein treats! This Health Lab protein ball was another winner, in one of my favourite flavours. I love that the packaging very clearly labels whether they are vegan/gluten free etc, and most importantly the ball inside was seriously tasty. Another one that was an excellent size for a mid-afternoon work pick me up!
Happy Way Protein Powder
I had tried Happy Way protein powder previously, and had just run out of protein powder in general, so was very happy to spot this product. I find their protein powders aren’t too gritty when used in smoothies, and there’s an excellent range of flavours. This one was peanut butter flavoured, which isn’t my normal go-to, but it was pretty tasty. I’m normally just a vanilla fan, so it was nice to mix things up for a little bit!
Vanessa Megan Face Cleanser
I don’t mix up my skincare routine that often, but I am always intrigued when I’m introduced to organic products to try out. This one really piqued my interest in the October GoodnessMe Box, and for good reason. I love a cream cleanser, and this one was nourishing and hydrating, while also leaving my skin feeling super clean. I really enjoyed using it, and quickly added it to my nightly routine. A winner in my books!
Saba Organics Hand Sanitiser
I don’t tend to use a lot of hand sanitiser, mostly because the traditional ones aren’t exactly great for the environment. So, I was pretty interested when I spotted this one, and read up about the ingredients. Not only is it certified organic, but felt actually nourishing rather than drying which is pretty impressive. Plus, it smelled really lovely too! It is going straight in my travel kit!
Nexba Kombucha
Last but definitely not least was this rose lemonade kombucha. I have tried a lot of kombucha in my time, and this one definitely hit the mark. It was a seriously delicious flavour, nice and sparkling and not too sweet. It was perfectly refreshing and I was sad when I got to the end of the bottle. I think that counts as an absolute success, and I am already on the hunt for more!
